As an experienced, professional birth photographer I know how to preserve the sacredness of your birth space while capturing all the important details.
I have spent many years learning how to shoot in challenging lighting situations and my equipment is specifically designed to handle these conditions. Hiring me to capture these moments for you allows everyone else in the room to be fully present with you, without the added pressure of juggling a camera whilst supporting you.
I go on call at 37 weeks until baby arrives.
Birth is unpredictable and yes, sometimes babies decide to surprise us with an early arrival! If you go into labour before the on-call period, I will do everything in my power to attend your birth. Most of the time this isn’t an issue but in the rare event that I’m unable to make it, I can send another amazing birth photographer as my backup. They will document your birth and then I’ll edit the photos so you’ll still receive images that reflect my style.
Nope! I document all types of birth
- at home with a private practising midwife or unassisted, in hospital, and at birth centres.
I never share any images without permission first,
and I always respect your wishes when it comes to your privacy. In saying this, sharing images of birth helps remove the fear that is so often associated with birth and can even empower others who are on a similar journey. I would love for you to be part of this movement in changing how the world views birth! When you receive your gallery you have the option to choose which images you’re comfortable to share, and which you may want to keep private. If you don’t want to share any of your images, that is totally fine too.
I am lucky enough to call the beautiful hinterland town of Eumundi my home.
I cover the entire Sunshine Coast region,
including the northern end as far as Gympie, and also travel to the southern end as far as Caboolture and North Brisbane.
